Hello, everybody! My name is Mazen Refae, a senior-year student at STEM October, and I had the privilege of doing my research at Lumiere Education in spring cohort 2024. If you’re considering applying, let me tell you everything you need about the program and why it’s such a life-changing opportunity that allowed me to blast my way into research and exploring my neuroscience interests, particularly Alzheimer’s disease.

Each step has been transformative in my journey and was filled with challenges and triumphs.
